Sheets do not provide the appropriate friction surface for safe and stable sitting up. The nursing staff therefore positions the HSO Stick & Stop Pad in the place where the patient would slip without this assistance.

If the patient is already mobile, the Stick & Stop can also be used as an anti-slip aid in a recliner or wheelchair.
